Mosaic: A New Chapter in Tbilisi Fashion and Culture

Mosaic: A New Chapter in Tbilisi Fashion and Culture

Mosaic celebrated its opening with an evening bringing together friends of the store, fashion insiders, and members of the creative community. More than just an opening, the event marked the beginning of a new chapter for Mosaic — a space where fashion, culture, and individual expression come together.

One of the evening’s highlights was the introduction of two new brands to the store’s selection: Ottolinger and SAN SAN GEAR, each bringing a distinctive perspective to contemporary fashion.

Founded in Berlin, Ottolinger is known for its experimental approach to design, deconstructed silhouettes, unconventional materials, and an aesthetic that challenges traditional ideas of dressing. Balancing avant-garde sensibilities with a bold, contemporary edge, the brand has established a distinctive identity within the international fashion scene.

South Korean label SAN SAN GEAR explores the intersection of technical wear, street culture, and futuristic design. Defined by functional details, innovative constructions, and utilitarian elements, the brand reflects a new generation of fashion that values both performance and visual expression.

The arrival of both labels reinforces Mosaic’s commitment to a carefully curated selection of brands with a strong creative identity and a distinctive approach to design.

Another exciting addition is Mosaic’s own wine collaboration with sami[zne]. Expanding the concept store beyond fashion, the collaboration introduces a new dimension to the Mosaic experience, bringing together style, taste, and the pleasure of sharing a moment. Visitors can now enjoy a selection of four wines at the store, with one available to try on any given visit — turning an everyday shopping experience into something more personal and memorable.

The opening was a celebration of community, discovery, and the creative energy that defines Mosaic. With new brands joining its selection and its own wine collaboration taking shape, the store continues to develop as more than a retail destination. It is a meeting point for fashion, culture, and people who share an appreciation for thoughtful design and distinctive experiences

Protocol Index: From GRAILZ to a New Language of Korean Fashion

Few contemporary Korean labels have evolved as organically as Protocol Index. Its story is not simply the launch of a new fashion brand, but a creative journey that began with GRAILZ, developed through PROJECT G/R, and eventually transformed into a broader design studio.

The story began with GRAILZ, a project created by creative director Augustine Hyeongseok Oh and his collaborators as an experimental outlet outside the conventional structure of the fashion industry. What started almost informally became an opportunity to explore clothing, graphics, and personal ideas without the restrictions of a traditional fashion system. Oh later described this early period as a process of starting from the ground up and learning through experimentation.

The next chapter was PROJECT G/R. Emerging from the GRAILZ ecosystem, PROJECT G/R became a more focused and developed expression of the ideas explored in the earlier project. According to Oh, G/R was created as a response to the limitations he felt while working on GRAILZ — a way to organize and refine questions about design, identity, and clothing.
