Protocol Index
Founded in 2025, South Korean brand Protocol Index is the new chapter of the experimental project PROJECT G/R.
The project started when two key figures, Augustine Hyeongseok Oh and Jude Lee, came together to create PROJECT G/R. The brand was originally imagined as a design experiment — a space to explore shape, construction, and the visual language of clothing without focusing too much on commercial goals.
In 2025, the project was renamed Protocol Index. The name reflects the brand’s creative approach:
* Protocol — rules, systems, and structure. * Index — references, categories, and connections.
The idea is simple: create a rule, then break it and build it again. This approach can be seen throughout Protocol Index’s clothing — unexpected seams, extra layers, inverted details, and pieces that look like several garments combined into one.
Instead of hiding these “mistakes,” the brand makes them part of the design language.
